More success for Tems: “Free Mind” enters the Billboard Hot 100 Chart

It’s another big success for Talented Nigeria singer Temilade Openiyi, known as “Tems,” who enters the world’s biggest music chart, the Billboard Hot 100, for the first time as a lead artist. Her hit single “Free Mind” lands at #90 on the global music charts.

The self-produced (together with Omeiza) catchy vibe “Free Mind” is one of the melodious and sonorous hit singles from Tem’s wonderful EP “For Broken Ears” and it’s the fourth time she’s featured on the Billboard charts, following “Essence (remix.)” ft. Wizkid & Justin Beiber, which peaked at #9, Drake’s “Fountains,” which peaked at #26 in September 2016, and “Wait for You” ft. Future & Drake, which reached #1 on the chart. Tems joins Wizkid as the only African artists with four entries on the Billboard Hot 100 (Drake’s “One Dance” – #1, Beyonce’s Brown Skin Girl” – #76, “Essence” – #9 & Chris Brown’s “Call me Everyday” – #76).

The superstar singer now has two songs on the chart; her first solo entry “Free Mind” debuts at #90, as does Future’s Wait for You ft. Drake #5 has stayed on the chart for 12 weeks.

Tems simultaneously boasts a record 10 entries on the recently launched Billboard U.S.

Afrobeats Songs chart, including ‘Essence‘, ‘Free Mind‘, ‘Higher, Found‘, ‘Damages‘, ‘Replay‘, ‘The Key‘, ‘Ice T‘, Crazy Things‘ and ‘Interference‘.

Crazy things are happening for Daughter of grace, Tems.

It has been an outstanding year for the amazing singer with great and award-winning achievements, and her music has been praised by the whole world.

Recently, she was selected as a songwriter on the 2022 album ‘Renaissance‘ by music legend Beyonce
Renaissance‘ album for the track 10 ‘Move’ under her full name Temilade Openiyi.
Tems was also featured on the soundtrack of Marvel Studio’s latest production ‘Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘ as she sang a cover of Bob Marley’s No, Woman No Cry with a Kendrick Lamar sample of Alright.
