The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, described the presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as the best candidate to lead Nigeria to prosperity.
Fashola made this assertion on Sunday on Channels TV’s Sunday Politics program.
He noted that Tinubu is a leader capable of leading the people to the prosperity that lies ahead for Nigeria.
He said, “In my opinion, Asiwaju is the best person to drive this vehicle because I have worked very closely with him. I know his skills. I know his tenacity.
The minister also said righteous Nigerians will vote for the APC in the 2023 general elections.
Fashola expressed confidence that people will vote for the APC because of its achievements compared to previous governments.
He said, “Nigerians have had the opportunity to experience two governments.
“On reflection, righteous and well-meaning Nigerians will vote our party into government again, I am very optimistic about that.
He said, “I think we have served this country as efficiently as we can – in the most difficult times.
“No government has had to contend with COVID, we have. No government was facing a global resource shortage caused by a war we weren’t involved in; we were, and we’re still managing this economy and creating hope and sustainability.
“I am optimistic that we will win,” he added.
